John Di Brango

Since March 2000, John
Di Brango has been the Oncology/CNS Brand Leader in the Information Center at
AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and is responsible for a team of pharmacists and
Registered Nurses in providing medical information to both health care
professionals and consumers. He also has
initiated a program of providing clinical trial information and sites to cancer
patients that call asking for information on investigational products. This program was featured in the May 6th, 2001 60 Minutes program narrated
by Leslie Stahl. Prior to his position
in the Information Center, he was the Integration Leader in Drug Development
responsible for the merger of people, process, and technology between Astra
Pharmaceuticals and Zeneca Pharmaceuticals.
John came to AstraZeneca from Bristol-Myers Squibb where he was the
manager of Oncology/Immunology products in the WorldWide Safety and
Surveillance group. Prior to that he was
a head nurse of the Oncology Unit at Princeton Medical Center. His career started as a kindergarten teacher
when he first graduated from Appalachian State University in North Carolina. As a Registered Nurse he also holds a Masters
degree in health education from the College of New Jersey.
