Arthur G. Connolly Jr. receives the Honorable Roxanna Cannon Arsht Award
At the Cancer Care Connection Arsht Circle of Light Reception on November 12th, Arthur G. Connolly Jr. was honored and presented with the Honorable Roxanna Cannon Arsht Award for his outstanding service to the cancer community. Members of the Board of Directors, supporters, family, and friends joined Art, CCC’s inaugural Board Chairman, at Aloysius Butler & Clark in Wilmington. Congressman Mike Castle talked about Art’s commitment to the community, and Governor Ruth Ann Minner prepared some comments.
Governor Minner wrote “I deeply appreciate the work of organizations like Cancer Care Connection and leaders like Art Connolly because without them, the state of Delaware would not have the impressive declining rate in cancer incidence and mortality that we have today. There is still much to do in the area of cancer prevention, which is why events like this are so important. We need to continue to honor those in the community who are role models for us in the fight against cancer, and we need to continue working to provide a healthier future for everyone in the state of Delaware.”
